Editorial Policy
Right2Carry covers rights, responsibility, and informed firearms ownership for U.S. adults. These standards guide the publication as its article library is developed.
Evidence and attribution
Material factual claims should be supported by identifiable sources. For legal topics, prioritize statutes, official authorities, court documents, and other primary records. Distinguish a proposal from an effective law, and identify jurisdiction, relevant dates, and uncertainty. Link readers to the underlying source whenever possible.
Reporting, analysis, and opinion
Reporting should separate documented facts from interpretation. Label opinion and analysis clearly. Represent relevant legal viewpoints accurately and avoid implying that the publication is affiliated with an official agency.
Safety and legal scope
Legal information is educational, not individual legal advice. State resources remain verification pending until their factual claims and authorities have been reviewed. Safety education does not replace qualified professional instruction. Do not publish illegal-weapons assistance, misuse guidance, or unsupported claims about safety.
Authors, images, and product coverage
Use accurate bylines and documented credentials. Do not invent interviews, first-hand experiences, product tests, quotations, or citations. Disclose relevant conflicts, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships. Use images with appropriate rights and meaningful alternative text.
Editorial review and AI assistance
Drafts require source checking and editorial review before publication. AI-assisted work must receive the same review; generated wording is not evidence. Editors remain responsible for published claims. Record substantive updates and revisit material when authorities or facts change.
